Bridge Talk is an IM Mobile App directed at adoptive families.
In the U.S., birth parents can stay in contact with the adopted child if the foster parents allow it, and it’s mentally healthy for all parties involved.
This project created a secure line of digital communication between those families, following strict rules and legislation.
Jobs to be done

We had very little information about the market Bridge would be inserted, so we had to dig deep into competitor analysis.
This proved a great asset in helping us find the best business and market strategy for launching the company.

After learning how our competitor work, we went on to find the best UX practices that would speed up the creation process.

We created a couple of very powerful templates and started to build a Design System early to help us achieve consistency and reduce the overall design effort, thus making the project more lucrative.

We had to create everything from the logo to the tone of voice and visual components.
Deliverables

We had to dive into a mix of social media and Government regulatory agencies to understand perfectly where Bridge Talk would be inserted. We could find a soft spot that makes the app has this tone of voice and look&feel that is not only friendly but reliable.

Everything from the color choice and naming, to the smallest product design components, was done with a firm focus on the User Experience.

To make this brand grow consistently, we had to make sure in the first steps we were not creating dissonance with it.
Having the 1st version of the Design System in place early in the process was instrumental to making this project scalable in the near future.
My participation

We looked at our competition in IMs, similar adoption software services, and other experiential competitors.
After this stage, we found several best practices we could adapt and use in our mobile app.

From the concept to the visual outcomes, I directed the foundations of the project.
Leading other designers, and creating the look and feel of the app + Landing page, I was able to set the tone for the brand.

I took care of the whole Design Research, Development, and Dev handover of the Mobile App, Logo creation, and Landing Page.
UX best practices and security above all.
Bridge Talk is a messaging app to connect birth and adopted families with reliability, privacy, and safety.
Since we’re so used to best UX practices, the research led us to incorporate them early in the process.
